How do I book a trip?
Once you've decided on your date, simply contact Captain Tom directly to secure your spot. You can reach him at 252-661-9084. and he'll get you on the schedule!!

Is there a bathroom on the boat?
Unfortunately, No. The Chasintyde is a 26 Foot Privateer Center Console that does not come equipped with a bathroom. The marina, however, does have facilities you can use before or after your trip.

What is the maximum number of people you can take on your trip?
We are licensed to take up to 4 guests at a time.

Is your boat kid friendly?
Absolutely- Captain Tom has 2 young boys of his own and welcomes anglers of ALL AGES on the Chasintyde!

Is your price per person?
When you book a trip on the Chasintyde, you are reserving the entire boat, not paying per person. You're welcome to bring up to four people total, and the price stays the same whether its just you or a full group of four. Please note that every individual on board counts toward the total, whether they're fishing or just along for the ride.
Is a deposit required?
If you book online using fishingbooker, you will have to pay in full and will receive a confirmation from that site directly. If you book through Captain Tom, a credit card number will be needed to hold your spot. Your card will not be charged until you finalize your payment with the captain the day you fish.​​

What if I want to cancel the trip?
Seven (7) days are required to cancel your trip or you will be charged half of the price of the charter as a fee.

What if I want to cancel the trip due to bad weather?
Unfortunately, Outer Banks weather can be unpredictable. Conditions can change rapidly and unexpectedly. The captain is constantly watching the weather and will not make you fish in horrible conditions! The captain will not fish in dangerous conditions and will discuss the weather & your options with you if the trip might need to be canceled or rescheduled. Trip cancellation is determined by the captain only. If it is a fishable day, the captain will want to fish.

What type of payment do you accept?
We prefer cash. We accept Apple Pay, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. There is a 3% transaction fee for credit and debit cards.​

When will I hear from my captain?
You will hear from the captain the night before you fish. He will go over-all last-minute items, answer any questions and make sure you know were to meet him and confirm the time!

What will we fish for?
Chasintyde is an inshore vessel. We fish the sound, inlet and ocean while staying close to shore. Fishing varies with the type of trip booked and the time of the year. The captain can give you a better idea of what is being caught when he touches base with you the night before the trip.

What should I bring?
Just pack whatever will keep you comfortable for the day- snacks or lunch, plenty of water, and yes, you're welcome to bring a cooler with drinks (alcohol is permitted- cans only). Be sure to bring sunscreen (Lotion only, no sprays), sunglasses and a hat. We'll take care of the rest- rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses are all included!

Do I need a fishing license?
Nope. We’ve got you covered.

Can I bring my own gear?
Absolutely!! Although this is not needed due to the captain's large collection at your disposal, you are more than welcome to bring your favorite rod/reel for the day!

Are lifejackets available?
Lifejackets are available at all times to children and adults upon request. Please note, all children 12 and younger are required by law to wear a lifejacket while on the boat!

Can we keep what we catch?
Absolutely! As long as the fish are in season and of legal-size limits, you are welcome to keep your catch!

Will our pictures be used on social media?
The captain will capture photos of your catches throughout the day, which may be featured on our Facebook, Instagram or Website. From time to time, video footage may also be used to create seasonal content at the captain's discretion.
